Emdogain aftercare

Week 1-2

• Use an antiseptic mouthwash several times a day
• Do not clean the treated area with a toothbrush
• Do not clean the interdental spaces in the treated area
• Avoid alcohol, nicotine, coffee, black tea and fresh dairy products
• Avoid the treated area when chewing
• Avoid hard of chewy foods
• Sutures will be removed after 2-3 weeks

Week 4-6

• Continue to use an antiseptic mouthwash several times a day
• Carefully clean the treated area with a toothbrush
• Do not clean the interdental spaces in the treated area
• Cleaning of teeth by a dental professional

Week 7 onwards

• Clean the teeth carefully in the treated area including interdental spaces
• Regular check ups and teeth cleaning by a dental professional
